How to use fiber identifier?
1)    Configuration of fiber identifier.

2)    Choose the correct fiber identifier’s adapter
A: 250 adapter is for bare fiber
B: 900 adapter is for loose tube
C: 2mm adapter is for 2000um jacket fiber
D: 3mm adapter is for 3000um jacket fiber
3)    Turn on the light source and insert one side of patch cord to light source.
And clamp the patchcord via fiber identifier.
It will show the signal direction, relative core power and modulation via LED indicator.

4)   We need to test multi-fibers without interrupting the current service during routine maintenance, so the function of fiber identifier help us find the faulty fiber as below:
A: if there is no direction, then it is easy to tell the fiber is broken.
B: if all fiber has direction, but no modulation, then it can also tell the fiber is faulty.
C: if all fibers have direction and modulation, if the relative core powers of some fibers are clearly or dramatically lower than other fibers, then it tells that this fiber is possibly defective.
At this moment, we could interrupt the current service and use the OTDR to find out  the exact faulty fiber.
