Loopback adapter is to test the returning signal of optical test system and optical networks.

Via returning signal, the potential defaults in the networks would be detected.  This test is commonly used and provides a very effective method to secure the network working.

A link between two points in different locations may be tested by applying a test signal on one side, and loopback on the other side sends a signal back through the link. If this fiber optic loopback adapter receives its returning signal, it proves this link is properly functioning. Otherwise, it would be faulty.
